MySnapper

MySnapper is an extremely secure (and top up fee free) way to top up your Snapper. In addition to the many failsafes we've built into it to prevent top ups being lost in the event of a loss of connectivity, software or hardware failure and the like, we've taken several other measures to safeguard your credit card transactions, including;

• The Adobe AIR platform our MySnapper application runs on requires all AIR applications to be digitally signed, therefore the MySnapper Air Application has been digitally signed with a certificate issued by a recognized Certification Authority (Verisign and Thawte) which provides significant assurance to you that the application you have installed has not been accidentally or maliciously altered.
• Your local MySnapper application communicates with mysnapper.snapper.co.nz via a secure (https) connection. This is additionally digitally signed and validated to ensure the authenticity of the server.
• Your credit card number is not stored by Snapper, ever.
• The communication between Snapper and the credit card processing system is also over https and digitally signed and validated.
• The interaction between the Snapper card and the system is additionally encrypted and digitally signed.

All this means that your transactions are very secure indeed. We safeguard the application itself, its communication with Snapper, Snapper's communcation with the bank and the communication between your Snapper and the system.
