Can I tag on more than one person using Snapper on rail?

Tagging on multiple people at once, as is available on the bus, requires a manual process carried out by an operator (such as the bus driver).  
As the rail card readers are self-service, this option won’t be possible. We are encouraging everyone who wishes to travel on rail with Snapper to purchase their own Snapper card.
