Total Mobility card transport options

As part of the Total Mobility scheme, Total Mobility cards are accepted by authorised taxi companies within the Greater Wellington Region. This includes Wellington City, the Hutt Valley, Porirua Basin, the Kapiti Coast, Otaki and the Wairarapa.

Please note: while your Total Mobility card can also act as a Snapper card on buses, trains and ferries, you can not pay for your taxi travel with a Total Mobility card.
In this instance, your Total Mobility card acts as verification for your entitlement to a discounted rate.

To use your card for taxi travel:

  1. Contact your preferred Total Mobility transport company to book a trip
  2. Give your Total Mobility card to the driver at the start of the trip
  3. Pay the driver at the end of the trip
  4. Keep a copy of your receipt
