Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility card transport options

As part of the Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility scheme, these cards are accepted by authorised taxi companies within the Greater Wellington Region. This includes Wellington City, the Hutt Valley, Porirua Basin, the Kapiti Coast, Otaki and the Wairarapa.

Please note: while your Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility card can also act as a Snapper card on buses, trains and ferries, you can not pay for your taxi travel with a Total Mobility card.
In this instance, your Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility card acts as verification for your entitlement to a discounted rate.

To use your card for taxi travel:

1. Contact your preferred Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility transport company to book a trip
2. Give your Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility card to the driver at the start of the trip
3. Pay the driver at the end of the trip
4. Keep a copy of your receipt
