Half price fares

NOTE: The half-price fare scheme has been extended to June 30th 2023

Kia ora Wellington region,

As you may know, on April 1^st 2022, the half price public transport fare scheme takes effect.

This means that all Snapper fares on bus, rail, and 30-day travel passes, will be 50% of their original price until June 30^th 2023.

As always – don’t forget to tag off! Penalties will still apply (although these will also be half price).

Existing 30-day travel passes

We recognise that some customers may have existing travel passes which will have remaining travel days left to be used in April. We will contact registered cardholders in this position directly, with instructions on how to collect a goodwill credit to recognise the new fares.

If this applies to you, but your card is not registered (and therefore you won’t receive an email from us) you can get in touch with our Customer Care Team for further details.

If you have a travel pass that was purchased before April 1^st, but has not yet been activated – please contact Snapper for reimbursement options.
