Snapper News Level 2 – September 2021

Level 2 – September 2021

Kia ora Wellington,

Thanks for doing the tough mahi of staying home these last few weeks to keep us all safe and well.

We know it can be tricky keeping up with the differences in alert levels, so here’s a quick reminder of what you can expect from a shift down to Level 2, as it relates to Snapper and catching the bus.

Catching the bus

  • Timetable: We’re back to regular programming – keep up to speed with the most up to date information on the Metlink website.
  • Paying fares: Cash will once again be accepted for the payment of fares. Though naturally we strongly recommend Snapper cards for a great contactless option!

  • Boarding: Front door boarding returns, so please board at the front of the bus as you normally would.

Snapper Customer Care

  • In person support: Is back! Our i-SITE centres will be back up and running in both Upper Hutt and Wellington City.
You can find details on how to visit them, or use any of our other customer support options, here.

  • Kiosks / retailers: Under Level 2, most will be open.
Though of course, this is a decision for the individual retailer, and as always we ask you to please be respectful of any practices a retailer chooses to put in place to ensure yours and their safety.

We aim to ensure our locations page, detailing our Snapper retailers, Snapper Kiosks and Service Centres, is as up to date as possible.

Metlink service updates

For full details on the impact of moving to Alert Level 2 – please see this press release from Metlink.

For all updates on service timetables and best practice when using public transport please refer to the Metlink website or contact the Metlink Service Centre on 0800 801 700.

Thanks in advance for continuing to be kind and respectful to our frontline partners on buses and in stores – it makes a huge difference as we all adjust to these changes in circumstances.

Kia kaha Wellington,

Team Snapper
