Collecting a refund

Snapper is now issuing automatic refunds of penalties where a customer has tried to tag off the bus but has not been able to, so you don’t need to worry about getting in touch with us to request a refund.

If you think you’ve been unfairly penalized but have not received your refund in 2 working days, please get in touch with us.

Once your refund is ready, you can collect it immediately in the following ways:

  • Online with a Snapper Feeder and MySnapper
  • Using the free Snapper Mobile app available from Google Play with an Android near-field communication (NFC) smartphone
  • Placing your card on one of our Snapper kiosks
  • Visit a Snapper Service Centre with your Snapper card and mention that you would like to collect your refund
  • Using the Snapper iOS app which is available on iPhone 7 or newer, running iOS 13 and above
